| Hopkins Village is a Garifuna village, on the seacoast, about 50 miles south of Belize City. You can take the bus from Belize City, through Belmopan, to Dangriga. Then another bus or taxi to Hopkins, or take the bus to Hopkins Junction and hitch in. Total time about 3 1/2 hours. You can also fly into Dangriga. There is no bank in Hopkins, and credit cards are accepted at very few places. Bring $5.00 + $10.00us. |
